The Amarula Best Retreats in Africa Awards 2008 will showcase, celebrate and reward the rich diversity of retreats throughout Africa, whether it be a chic Urban Retreat, Swish Safari Lodge, Superior Spa or a Romantic Resort.

"The aim of the Awards is to promote growth, excellence and innovation in the African travel and tourism industry," comments Paul Kerton of luxury publishing company Best 100: who recently launched Best 100: Spas in Africa, a book celebrating the premium Spa retreats on the continent.

While a panel of industry experts and celebrity judges will decide the winners' of nine categories, the 10th is all up to you — the iafrica.com Consumer's Choice Award! The winner will be announced on 5 September 2008.
