The Departure Lounge

Airline lounges are a great place to meet weird and wonderful travellers. Whether it's a stranded refugee living in Paris CDG or the captain of a nuclear submarine in Her Majesty’s Navy (both true stories), you’re bound to meet someone interesting in the lounge.

Of course only the lucky few are admitted to the lounge, so a peek behind those frosted doors is an experience to be savoured.

Iafrica.com have just launched The Departure Lounge, sponsored by British Airways. A range of guest columnists are the star attraction of this exciting new section on the site, offering everything from humorous travel tales to sound advice and celebrity traveller interviews.

Whether it's hanging out in a Pattaya fleshpot, an existential crisis on a never-ending journey or getting the air hostess to tell you what the crew really get up to behind that velvet curtain it’s sure to be entertaining.
